These Copper-Nickel 1 Dinar coins feature a simplistic design with the state emblem ot the state of Yugoslavia on the obverse which reads: ‘СОЦИJАЛИСТИЧКА ФЕДЕРАТИВНА РЕПУБЛИКА JУГОСЛАВИJА 29·XI·1943’ translates to: ‘Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia 29 · November · 1943.’ The reverse features the denomination above the date within a wreath decoration (Olive & Oak Sprigs ribbon tied at the bottom) and six stars above.
Yugoslavia's complex history is marked by its attempt to unite a diverse array of South Slavic regions following World War I in 1918. Initially known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes, it aimed to bridge ethnic divisions and create a single nation.
